N.B. The current rate of exchange in Hong Kong

can be found in the chief Daily papers.

A monthly deduction of 4% is made as a contribution

towards Widows and Orphans' Pensions.

A Master whose services during his initial three

years agreement has been completely satisfactory

will, subject to the exigencies of the ervice and

a certificate of medical fitness, on the expiration

of that period be placed on the permanent and

pensionable establishment, his scrvice under

agreement being reckoned as continuous for pension.

When a Master is placed on the permanent

establishment he receives salary at the rate of

£460 a year, rising by annual increments of £20 to

£600 a year, and thereafter, subject to an efficiency

bar, at the rate of £625 a year, rising by annual

increments of £25 to £800 a year.

There are also several special higher

appointments on a scale of £850 to £1,100.

Assistant Masters may undertake private

tuition subject to the permission of the Director

of Education.
